Tobin and Rooney, Inc. specializes in lath, plaster, and fireproofing. Tobin & Rooney, Inc. has participated in constructing many notable downtown landmark buildings such as The Bank of America Building, Chase/JP Morgan Tower, Allen Center III and IV, Cullen Center, The Park at Houston Center, Jones Hall, Ally Theater, The Hobby Center for the Performing Arts, and the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart.

Our Company History

James T. Tobin & George Rooney started Tobin & Rooney in 1938 as a partnership performing lathing and plastering. In 1946, George H. Brueggeman Sr. was admitted with a one third partnership interest. Tobin & Rooney has since been incorporated on June 19, 1964. Tobin & Rooney is a founding member of the Texas Lathing and Plastering Association (TLPCA) and Texas Bureau of Lathing and Plastering (TBL&P). Tobin & Rooney is also a member of the American Subcontractors Association (ASA), Association of General Contractors (AGC), The Association of Wall and Ceiling Contractors International (AWCI), and Construction Career Collaborative (C3).

George H. Brueggeman Jr.

President

Mr. Brueggeman currently he oversees all office operations. Mr. Brueggeman is a past president of the Texas Lath and Plastering Contractors Association (TLPCA) and previously served on the Board of the TLPCA and TBL&P.  He has also been an Advisory Board Director for the AGC of Houston representing Division 9 – Finishes.

David E. Mouton

Vice President

Mr. Mouton currently he oversees all estimating and project management for the company and holds the position of Vice President. Mr. Mouton currently serves on the Board of the TLPCA.
